What I'm reading, what I'm thinking of reading & what I've read. And stuff.
I really enjoyed this book, right up to the last... oh, about 50 pages? The first section, telling of Pi's early life was moderately interesting, although irritating in places. The central section - the story of the boy stranded on a liferaft with a tiger and how he managed to survive - was utterly charming, and I enjoyed this part of the book best of all. However the last section, which destroys this fantasy by suggesting a cold, prosaic explanation for the story about the tiger, sucked the joy out of the book for me. Still worth the read tho.
