The Burning Land - Bernard Cornwell Good solid stuff. This felt a bit shorter than Cornwell's usual, but all the usual characters turned up: a super-neat ship, the fates, Serpent-breath, and so forth. I shall be sorry when this series reaches an end, as it inevitably must.
