I spotted this one at my Aunt's house when we were in Christchurch in January, and was pleased to find it in the library when I got back home. This really is a beautiful little book, full of old photos and the author's drawings of classic Christchurch buildings really is a gem... and of course now a memento of what has been lost. I particularly enjoyed the decorative details - tile patterns, glass window motifs etc that adorn the pages. Not being a native there were many buildings included with which I was not familiar, and felt that perhaps too little attention was paid to the cathedral. I'm very pleased to have had the opportunity to examine this book more closely and read the text that accompanied the beautiful illustrations. Enchanted indeed.
